Displaying an iSeries panel screen

How it is possible to display an iSeries panel screen (5250) with a message (from a CL program) appearing simultaneously. For example, I'd like to issue the WRKOBJ command with the output of the command panel with a message to be displayed on line 24. I was trying to do this with the SNDPGMMSG command, but it is not working.

 e.g., cmd: WRKOBJ OBJ(QGPL/*ALL)
Panel:
Opt Object Type Library.....
-   .....  ...  ......
-   .....  ...  ......
-   .....  ...  .....
.......
....

F3=Exit...
