DB2/400 on V5R2 conflict with older UDB server?

I have to upgrade my iSeries to V5R2. Some of my applications use the ODBC connection of a UDB server (Windows 2000 server) that is still at UDB 5.2. Does DB2/400 on V5R2 cause any problems for ODBC connections from an older version of UDB? We plan to upgrade our UDB servers to 8.1, but it will take some time before we can perform the upgrade. The OS/400 upgrade is about to start. Do you advise that we stop this upgrade?
The connections should work after the upgrade to OS/400 V5R2 -- although it's probably not a configuration that has been tested often. I'm also not sure DB2 UDB 5.2 for Windows is a supported release. If you run into any problems with the connection on the DB2 UDB Windows side, there may not be any support options.
