Creating the correct member type in a source physical file via FTP

On AS/400, if you use FTP to copy source files from Windows and you need them to be RPGLE type, you can send a remote command to change the type after the transfer is completed.

I am pretty familiar with FTP, but am not able to get it to create a member in a source physical file that has the correct type on the member. For example: Need to invoke FTP on the iSeries: from a PC server, I need to copy all the *.rpgle members in c:sourceUtilities to the iSeries DEVELOP/QSOURCE and I need to have the .RPGLE type on them. This library contains multiple different types. Is this possible?
It is possible to send a remote command after the put is ended. For example use this on the FTP script
quote rcmd CHGPFM FILE(YY/XX) MBR(ZZ) SRCTYPE(RPGLE)
