Q

Bypassing the login screen on the AS/400

Is there a way to set up Client Access Express to bypass the AS/400 Login Screen? I tried to add the /Q to the...

target line under properties of the AS/400 icon but this didn't work.

You can only bypass the login screen if the AS/400 is setup to accept connections from other SNA connected devices without requiring a signon screen. This would require the PC to be setup using the SNA router as well as lowering security on the AS/400 (iSeries) system. I would not suggest this be used unless it is a closed system and only accessible from an internal network that is not connected to any other network.
